Since 1996, Nimita has been serving Santa Barbara as a chef and educator.

In 2010, Nimita’s Cuisine was born, providing a variety of culinary services to the community and its surroundings.

Nimita was born in a traditional Gujarati family where all the women thrived in their culinary creations.

At a very early age, her interest in the alchemy of spices led her to offer culinary classes in the Canary Islands, Spain. Upon moving to Santa Barbara, CA in 1996, she began sharing her culinary knowledge at community events, Santa Barbara Adult Education, Santa Barbara County Jail, and countless private venues.

Her skills went even deeper in 2009 when she explored Ayurvedic cooking with Swami Vidyadhishananda, who became her teacher In the art of fine cooking. 

Soon after, Nimita’s Cuisine was born.

Now, Nimita offers home deliveries, and catering services, and serves her delicious food at community events, She continues to offer cooking classes, online and in-person.

She specializes in cooking for destination and local weddings, blending fresh California produce with authentic flavor profiles and cuisines from around the world. Nimita offers workshops and catering services abroad as well as to visitors in the US from all around the world. 

Nimita is committed to offering delicious food, served with elegance and detailed attention. Her foods delight both eyes and palate!
